1. "EU Law and Politics"
1. The Theme of study
This study is a study focusing on researchers among Consortium universities. Because of the nature of this study, we may not decide integrated theme strictly. Thus, we intend to show some kind of integrity by having a theme of comprehensive concept with a certain direction and maintaining the freedom as to what kind of subjects the researchers will be engaged in.
We consider we have the theme of study titled "Europe as a Frontier." The Frontier has two distinctive meanings mentioned below. One meaning is to be leading edge, which mainly means the spirit of advancement of EU Laws in the field of the law. In other words, it shows the advanced achievement in variety of fields, such as public law, private law, environmental law, labor law, and international law. The other meaning it to be a frontier and/or border both from within Europe and the rest of the world. We aim to approach the historical and political importance of EU in depth by analyzing EU from the viewpoint of a frontier and/or border in and out of Europe.
