The aim of the course is to introduce basic structures and functions of Slovene language using a communicative approach. Cultural topics of interest to students will also be presented.

- As part of the course，students will learn about the basic patterns of Slovene language phonology，morphology and syntax while interacting with each other.

As part of the course，students will learn about the basic patterns of Slovene language phonology，morphology and syntax while interacting with each other. Elements of Slovene culture， such as geography，people，food，and celebrations will be presented using the information in the course book，as well as slides and other visuals. Students will be encouraged to do own research on the internet about the topics presented.

The above schedule may be adjusted to accommodate students' needs and interests.

- Students will be evaluated on their class participation (50%)，and presentations and quizzes (50%).
